Mission Statement

Founder, Michael Pasco, started his career as a Volunteer Firefighter in 2022 and wanted to give back in another way. Pasco organized The Wichita Officers Down 5K in 2015 and 2016 with a goal to bring the community together on “just a day” rather than just when a First Responder is killed in The Line of Duty, to show support to the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and who Continue to serve our Communities, Pasco then set out and created The First Responders 5K Run & Walk Foundation in 2022 to Bring back a First Responders Themed 5K Run and Help Raise Money for Local First Responders.

Michael Pasco is Originally from South Carolina but Moved to Wichita in 2003 and has Called Wichita Home since then, Michael Attended Southeast High School where he became good Friends with a Few Wichita Police Officers who he Calls his Second Family. Michael was also the Head Host of The Coffee With a Cop event In Wichita for 4 years and Each Event Grew bigger each year. Michael was the Local Organizer of the Officers Down 5K Run and Community day in Wichita for 2 Years back in 2015 and 2016. Michael Works Full Time as a Damage Investigator and Volunteers as Volunteer Firefighter in his Free Time.
